He has been working as a banknote designer at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey since 1988.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009, he participated in the competition for the new coins to be issued with a flower-themed set consisting of snowdrop, iridescent (Centaurea tchihatcheffii), rose, tulip, carnation, and violet designs. The snowdrop design was deemed suitable for the 1 Kuru\u015f coin.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Quoting the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20260210142249\/https:\/\/ms.hmb.gov.tr\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2019\/09\/Screenshot-from-2019-09-11-14-36-23.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Turkish Mint&#8217;s announcement regarding the 1 Kuru\u015f<\/span><\/a> coin: &#8220;Inspired by the snowdrop flower, with its pristine white, drooping posture during the coldest times of winter, Alptekin Bayram designed this coin to draw attention to T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;s natural beauty, and to warn the public about the harm caused either by human hands or by natural and global factors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Coin designs of the 2009 set were decided as a result of a competition. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Asl\u0131 Kaya<\/span>&#8216;s design was used on the 5 kuru\u015f coins, while <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Bar\u0131\u015f Kara<\/span>&#8216;s designs were used on the 10, 25 kuru\u015f, and 1 lira coins.<\/p>\n<p>(The design for the 50 kuru\u015f coin is by <a href=\"https:\/\/cumhuriyetparalari.com\/en\/2023\/10\/15\/nesrin-eksi-schnepf\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nesrin Ek\u015fi<\/span><\/a>, an artist from the Mint.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alptekin Bayram is the designer of the 1 Kuru\u015f coin with a snowdrop (Galanthus) design, issued in 2009.
